Orica Blast & Quarry Surveys, established in 1991, mainly provide the minerals industry with technical services - face profiling, blast design, shot-firing, drilling, vibration monitoring, quarry surveys and volumetric surveys. 

The company has provided a full land survey service since 1995 covering topographic survey of Greenfield, residential, commercial and industrial property and hydrographic survey of harbours, marinas, ports and inshore coastal areas.

Our minerals surveying department offer technical services and consultancy to minerals operators, statutory undertakers and financial institutions and  carries out minerals planning, resource evaluation and minerals valuation.

In 2007, Blast & Quarry Surveys was acquired by Orica Mining Services. Orica is the world's leading supplier of commercial explosives and blasting products and  it is envisaged that this partnership will allow BQS to build on their existing expertise.
